The photo above is the March Stamp of this month. This stamp has a retail value of $18.95 and you can get it for just $5.00 with a $50.00 order.  

Each month there is a new exclusive Stamp of the Month.  They are alway a $18.95 value, and they are always $5.00 with a $50.00 order.

I can do a lot of things well, but gardening has never been one of them.  But I don't give up!  Each spring I get excited about making a garden and planting our favorites.  I can get some things to grow, but I never get these huge beautiful crops that others get.  But I don't give up.  I will try again this year!

Cricut Custom Canning Jar Labels

Who doesn't love freshly canned items?  I know that Brian and I enjoy canning things during the summer to enjoy them all year long.   From Asparagus to salsa we like to preserve the goodness of summer.  

Brian enjoys going on tuna trips out of Oregon or Washington and then he and his parents can the tuna.  Pressure cookers scare me so I stay out of that one!  When he is not able to go, his parents still bring us some of the freshly canned tuna (and tuna steaks!) for our pantry.  

Asparagus is a huge one of us.  I used Aunt Patsy's recipe and I think it's the best thing in the world.  Even our neighbor kid comes over and eats it almost as fast as I can can it it seems.  One year I had to limit him he was eating it so fast!  

Since canning is something we enjoy, I thought it would be fun to make pretty labels on my Cricut to mark what is in each jar.  I did not date these ones, because the two items don't last long in our house.  

In the video below I show you how you can make your very own custom labels for your jars too.  Add a ribbon and they are pretty enough to give as gifts!

This photo of Brian just makes me laugh.  He was so happy to be in Disneyland and could not wait to get into the park.  

I used the CTMH Magical paper pack for this page.  It was inspired from a layout design in the CTMH Make it from the Heart Volume 3 Book.  

I used the black shimmer brush on the word Disneyland to give it a sparkle, and I popped the letters up with foam tape.  

Of course the letters were cut with my Cricut Maker.   I used the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge for the smaller letters .

CTMH Easter Egg Page

With Easter just right around the corner, I wanted to create something bright and fun to be able to remember the day.  For us, Easter is not like it was when the kids were little.  There is just something about the excitement of littles searching for Eggs.  But even though my kids are grown I still make them Easter Baskets, and my husband still colors eggs.  

I hope you like the page I am going to use for this years family photo.  The photo mat is for a 4x6 photo, but you could resize it for a larger one if you needed to.  

The yellow background paper is from the So Much Happy paper pack from CTMH, and the cardstock pieces (ballerina, lilac, peach, mint, carolina, canary, sage and willow) are also from CTMH.  The wreath portion comes from the CTMH Cricut Cartridge - Flower Market.  The eggs were from an Easter Egg Search in Design Space, and all were in Cricut Access.  The letters come from the CTMH Cricut Cartridge - Artbooking.  

For the eggs that did not have a background in Design Space.  I mounted them on a piece of contrasting cardstock and then hand cut around them.

I am happy to share my Design Space file below.  But you will need to have purchase the two CTMH Cricut Cartridges (Flower Market and Artbooking) to be able to use the file.

Every year for the past couple of years, I have a word of the year.  I try very hard to take the word to heart and be a better person.

Last year my word was "Believe".  I have a carved stone in my office that says it, and I have a "Believe" metal and wood sign in my dining room window.  I found it on our family trip to Apple Hill.  Then as luck would have it I found a star that matched it perfectly when we were at the Oregon Coast.  

I have looked for several months now, and I cannot find anything with my 2019 word "Grateful" that I liked.  So I made my own!  This is why I love my Cricut!!  

I am able to create the things I want for my home, and to help me to remember to be "Grateful" for the blessings in my life.

I found the brushed metal charger plate at Dollar General (and it matches the Believe sign!), then I used some Cricut Glitter Vinyl in Black.

I am very happy with how it turned out, and I think I have the perfect place for it on my kitchen island.

So Much Happy (Blog Hop!!)

Welcome to the Blog Hop!

We are featuring the So Much Happy Paper from Close to My Heart. 

At the bottom of this post you will be prompted to "hop" to the next blog for another project using this paper pack.  

My project is this card.  At the bottom of the step by step instructions I have included a video that goes over all the cut sizes and how to's

First I started with our Stencil Sheets and an overlay image from the CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.  Once I had the stencil cut I placed it on a piece of White Daisy Cardstock and using the Opaque Matte Texture paste (colored with Lemon Ink) and a Palette Knife I added the texture design.

I set this piece to the side to dry, and I start stamping my images using Sapphire Exclusive Ink and the stamp set found in the Workshop Your way Choose to Shine Cardmaking Kit

After fussy cutting out the clouds, I stuck the B&T paper from the So Much Happy Paper Pack onto my card base, and I wrapped the textured piece of cardstock in Gold and White Ribbon, then adhered it the B&T paper already placed on the card front.  

Using 3D-foam tape I added my clouds, and then my stamped words over the ribbon.
