Ranger Mini Ink Blending tool

#sponsored

First I need to thank my friend and downline Lisa J for sharing this magical tool with me.  This is the easiest way to add ink to your projects ever.

Each pad Velcro's onto the handle base for quick swap outs to change your ink color.  Since this kit comes with two handles, that will allow me to keep one in my box (see below) with the pads, and one on my craft desk for easy access.

Since CTMH has so many ink colors, I also purchased a second set of pads so that I will have one for each of my colors.

Earlier I mentioned my box.  This is how I am going to keep them all organized, and labeled by color!  At the of me writing this blog post, they are still in shipping so I cannot show you the finished project.  But I will come back once I get them and show you how it to you.

For starters I am going to use a CTMH My Acrylix Organizer to store all my ink pads and a handle in.

My next step will be to use my Cricut Maker and cut pieces of Bass Wood to fit inside the CTMH My Acrylix Organizer

I will place my inking pads to the Bass Wood with 3/4 inch Velcro dots then label the color for each ink pad above it.  This will allow for me to keep my ink pads clean, organized and ready for use.  They will also be easy to take with me when I go to crops or my weekend retreat!

I hope this inspired you.  If you have an idea to share please do!!   We are a community of creative people and organization tips are always needed and appreciated.

When ordering supplies from Cricut, you can use my code LORI10 (through June 2019) to save 10% and get free shipping on supply orders over $50.00.

How do you organize your cardstock?

#sponsored

As paper crafters, we all have the same problem.  How do we organize our cardstock in a way that is (1) easy to access when we want to use it and (2) keeps our paper stash safe protected from damage.

This is how I store mine.  It also makes it portable for when I go to crops or retreats.

Initially it took a small investment for supplies and time but in the end I love it.

  1. First thing I did was create a Design Space file to cut one piece of cardstock at 11.5 x 11.5 for each color in my stash.
  2. I then used Design Space to cut name pieces on printable vinyl for each tab.
  3. I ordered a large laminator and sleeves from Amazon.  After putting the color title on each piece of tab cut cardstock I laminated them.
  4. Because the laminator sleeves were much longer than my cardstock I cut them at the bottom.  I wanted the tabs to stand up higher than the cardstock behind it, so I cut it so that the were 12 3/4 inches tall.
  5. To cut, I just used my Cricut Portable Trimmer.  I want to add to this that I have been scrapbooking for along time.  I have bought many trimmers in m time, and after getting this one, I threw the others away.  I have since bought another one of these, one for my craft room and one for my go bag.  This is the last trimmer you will ever buy.
  6. To store all my cardstock I bought The Fold N' File from Thirty One gifts.  I use a couple of these.  These allow me transport my paper without having it too heavy in one container.

I hope you like this idea.  If you use it, please share you finished product so we can all see it!
